(It was Lucio that gave you your blue, right Janne?)

Naah, I'm kinda curious to know why on earth Janne hasn't recieved his purple yet. It would feel better for me too, because getting raped by a purple belt feels much better than getting raped by a big blue belt
I got my blue from Juntta. ANd for purple I think I should know some jiu-jitsu.

My grappling record has chancged since last time.
    current grappling record. 39-34
I got bronze in ADCC Finnish open and silver in BJJ finnish championships. (open weight I didnt acheave any medals)

Next mundials. On my categry there is allready 16 guys so I think this would be a grat test for me. I hope to finnish on medals.

Sadly 0-1 but it was a good learning experience. Changes your frame of mind a little bit. Video's here.

Well, I gotta say the stuff prior to the takedown was a bit, IDK, spaztic? But anyway, how long you been training? You did great to get out of that arm bar, that was nice, and I'd say you're well on your way! Don't let a loss discourage you, take the positives from it, and be ready next time!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd been training for about 8 months at that point. We hadn't worked many takedowns but I gave it a try. I'm definitely going to compete again. I certainly came out of it stronger.

Don't be so modest Janne You are definatley purple belt level. On a good day you can beat any blue belt in your division! I stronly believe that you will win the Mundials too, don't know if your division fought it out already?! Ilari has his fights today atleast (purple)...

YOu think wrong. Two wins and lost 1-3 advantages to Cuban tree stump (Holla at you if you read this forum) who got silver in my division.
I wanted to do better and really hoped to be in the finals but life sucks and sometimes things don't go your way.

I've never really counted matches. I know I've lost some. I know I've won a lot more than I've lost, and I've got a handful of medals (some from in house tournaments and small local shows in California, others from more sizable tournaments).

The reality is, if you're an active jiu-jitsu competitor, you lose sometimes. Unless you're gonna Rickson Gracie your record, don't worry about losing. Worry about getting better so you can beat the guy's ass next time, and always focus on the match in front of you (even if its not for a medal or for competition at all).

Anyway, at this point I probably have well over a hundred competition matches, so I've stopped counting.
