    Bwahahahahahaha! That's funny!

Have confidence in yourself...that blue belt wasn't because you're big!

Janne spoke Lucio dizzy, so he just gave him the belt so he'd stop talking
(It was Lucio that gave you your blue, right Janne?)

Naah, I'm kinda curious to know why on earth Janne hasn't recieved his purple yet. It would feel better for me too, because getting raped by a purple belt feels much better than getting raped by a big blue belt

I'm an impressive 0-2 in competition. I competed in Grappler's Quest when I was a white belt and got my ass whipped in the first match -- the dude was just better than me. My other match was very even -- the other guy was up by an advantage late so I pulled guard and went for a desperation armbar. He was able to avoid the sub and pick up the decision. I was disappointed in my performance, but it was my first competition so it was a good learning experience.

hey least you tried.. no one can say you did nto do that.. i always hear the first tournement is the hardest if you have never competed like that before.
If you are in the Scranton Area of PA and are having trouble finding instruction or training partners or simply can not afford the training that is provided in Scranton.. Contact me. I am starting a BJJ club under the direction of a Jorge Gurgel Black Belt.

It was definitely eye-opening for me. I had no idea what to expect so I was a little overwhelmed by everything. I'll compete again at some point and I'm sure I'll do better next time (at least that's what I tell myself ). I did learn from my mistakes -- I wasn't nearly aggressive enough and my takedowns suck. While it was embarrassing to lose, I'm still glad I did it.

At the early stages, the whole purpose of compteting is to learn...You did great!

My record improved today! I competed in the Mid West Triple Crown tournament in the Milwaukee, WI area. The gi divisions were a bit messed up in order to have enough competitors but as a lowly one stripe white, I took second place in the blue belt gi division! Only had two matches, but it was fun and I got to help coach a lot of my training partners in the no gi divisions.

NAGA is in Milwaukee at the end of this month...

i haven't competed as a blue yet, but I've competed around 15 or 16 times as a white, and took home about 10 medals, the most matches i ever had in one tournament was only 4, considering im in the smaller weight and their aren't too many people in that division. I'm really nervous about competing as a blue belt. i don't know my exact record, i don't really keep track
