I would have got killed if I started to compete after 2-3 months of training. There is no way I would ever tell anyone to compete after that short of a time. Some people accel at bjj more then other people I guess.

Dropped down to 18-17 2 weeks ago on sunday. I didn't really have high expectations on myself because I haven't really been training lately. I have only had time to train 1-3 times per week because I'm working on my masters thesis and working full time. But that's all excuses. I attended the BJJ Finnish Open, I fought in 82,3kg elite (purple, brown and black belts) and in the absolute division. In my own weight class I won my first fight. I wasn't very serious going in, I was planning on winning my first fight by triangle... not a good idea. He passed my guard rather easily from the triangle attempt, luckily I got him back to guard and started working a collar choke. Around 3minutes I sank the choke in and after som rolling and struggeling I got the tap... or it was more of a palmstrike to my head

The second fight was against my old rival, we were 1-1 in our two previous encounters, hehe. This time he pulled guard, I stood up and he swept me after awhile with an omoplata. Then I was gassing real bad and trying to submit him and sweep him without any luck. I got one advantage for a sweep attempt. I lost 2-0. Bronze for me in the elite 82,3kg divison as we were only 7 guys competing.

In the absolute division I met a 70kg brown belt (Greger Forsell, he won the ADCC european championships in october in 65,8kg)... You can watch the video instead. I was REALLY gassed out after a few minutes in the fight already, horrible fight from me

I don't even remeber what my ADCC record is, but got a loss on my account last saturday. Fought another purple belt at this small tourney, we had a "superfight" before the finals. I felt that the fight was ok to some point, but like in my previous bjj tourney, I started gassing out pretty bad and wasn't able to fight the fight I wanted to. But in general I am rather satisfied with the result, concidering it was over 2,5 years since I fought ADCC the previous time
