    Favorite open guard techniques/tactics

I was just curious as to what type of open guards you like to use. I used to like to play around with de la riva and x guard. I really like some of the back transitions from de la riva and x guard is great for sweeps. Do any of you prefer to switch to open guard? Which is more important to have a solid guard game open or closed?

I use De la Riva and Scissor guard the most. I feel like I have the most control here. I also like to do alot of Spider guard and octopus guard.

Spider guard is good, lot's of good sweeps and triangle attacks from there. I have heard of the octopus guard but never really explored it to much, maybe I'll look for some videos on it.
