    Posture in closed guard

    Guys,

I have a question for BEING IN someones closed guard. Should the back of your heels be able to touch your buttocks? Just curious because mine def. can't. How can I work on this? When I try to force this position on myself, my knees develope a sharp pain.

I have the same problem when I'm not warmed up or I don't stretch enough. If youre new to the sport chances are you will get used to it. Try and loosen up your knees a little more before sitting back like that.

It definitely helps, you can stretch your quadriceps and ankles. Also hip stretches help alot.www.rwmma.com
