I personally prefer old school hip hop or limp biscut but my gym seems to roll with really wierd music. IDK if it is our instructor messing with our heads or what. It could be classical, opera, or as far as Lion King. Seem not to hear it while rolling but when the roll is over I'm like what is that music going on. IDK. I need music when i run and lift but with BJJ i just seem to block it out.
Don't wish for it to be easier. Wish for you to be better.

Really? We always get the chilli peppers or reggae with the old slow trance music through in.

I train at alliance ATL with jacare calvacanti. Its pretty funny because when we is gone and one of the resident black or brown belts teach class there is anything from reggae, instrumental hip hop, techno, to 80s music. As soon as jacare comes back the music stops! Lol

I would enjoy classical music if it was played, but most important the music must be soft enough so that you can clearly here the instructor during your classes or your partner while you are rolling, both for safety in case he or she must tap by voice (arms locked up, etc) or feedback from your partner on your technique and vice verse. Thanks
