    I got my first stripe

And I was SO happy! I seriously looked at it & felt a lump coming up in my throat.

After what happened with my neck & ALL the hell I've been through, it feels pretty darn good to see results & know the effort was worth it.

A small part of me feels like I didnt earn it though I know thats a bunch of BS... but anyway, I love BJJ!

ahhh the first stripe on the white...Honestly that one is the hardest to earn.

In my opinion that is the point when your instructor recognizes that you are no longer simply wrestling but have moved past that and started doing actual Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

    Its a big step, Congratulations.

Good for you. It's a big first step. Black belts are just white belts that never quit.

I think people with higher belts underestimate the value of a piece of tape given to someone. I know exactly how you feel. Congratulations on your first stripe!

Sweet. That first stripe is one of the best for sure.
