I do not wear a shirt under my Gi.. but then I have my main Gi .. and this nice Ouano one I wear when the other gi is in the wash.. Its all neat and it is black.. that I am called the Jiu jitsu ninja in it..

I made the mistake of getting a Underarmour Compression shirt. I thought having a super tight shirt made me look like I was trying to intimidate someone so I am waiting to return it. Anyone else feel like this or is everyone a fan of compression rashgaurds?
compression gear usually is to help support the muscles.. I could go either way on it..

i use a walmart brand rashguard it feels good and prevents belly burn from my gi plus im a bigger guy so it looks funny and when we finally start nogi again i want need a tee shirt
im the mountain of the mat you may move me, you may crack me, but you will never break me.
the most important reason to wear a rash guard is for the coverage of skin. it is a preventive measure to help reduce the risk of ring worm and other things that hang out on the mat. you never know how well other people take care of their bodies and how clean they really are. many guys wear tights under their pants too for the same reason
you cant wear anything under your gi in IBJJF tourniments... Rashguards for no gi is a must, shirts gets loose and soaked. Rashguards keep you dry and clean from ring worm(unless you dont shower than nothing will stop diseases)
