    BJJ in SoCal

Heading down to San Diego and LA next week

can anyone tell me any good schools to check out??

In SD i'm probably gonna hit up undisputed ... my buddy trains boxing and mma there, BJJ is taught by Baret Yoshida (i actually went to one of his classes last year when i was in SD).. any other schools i should check out?? (JiuJitsu University would be top of the list but i heard they don't do drop ins)

When in LA i will specifically be staying in Huntington Beach .. LA is huge and google maps shows alot of schools in the region... so not too sure what to check out... i don't want to get stuck driving around in that crazy traffic.

    Any input?? advice?? thanks

plus you can't drive 10 minutes without running into a Gracie Barra down there. SoCal is such a hotbed of Jiu Jistu, wish I would have gotten into it when I was stationed out there.

Check out my school too! We have the big Check-Mat academy in Long Beach, California. It's called Fight Zone USA, named after my brother Ricardo's school in Rio. Website: http://www.fightzoneusa.com

There are so many good schools listed. Shawn Williams is a good friend of our academy. Also, my brother doesn't teach at the La Habra school (it is now Lucas Leite JJ), Lucas is a great teacher and he also has a school in Upland that has very good guys.

I say go to Jean Jeaques Machado Academy. Visit his site jjmachado.com

He is one of the greatest brazilian jiu jitsu instructors in the world.

or you can try eddi bravo's place in north hollywood called 10th planet jiu jitsu. He teaches alot of No-Gi
