I hate viral marketing, but this is actually a good product.

I was going to say the same thing. I love this stuff. The lotion, the body wash, and the instant stuff. If you don't have something like it. Then get it. Remember, antibacterial is not necessarily anti-fungal or anti-viral. This is.

Damn, I sound like I work for them.

    Ok a few things...

    1. Yes this is a small community, but Im sure a banner add wouldn't be expensive and would increase the traffic to the site (since the admin's are trying to grow the forum, and money helps).

    2. Currently I use Defence Soap which I like because it does not promote the mutation of bacteria due to its usage of essential oils. From what I read your product uses a chemical so bacteria could adapt making your product less effective, correct?

If not then I may need to try some out...

    RIP PrideFC.

Training on and off since 11/06. Blue Belt since 12/09.

It's not just bacteria though. It's fungus and viruses too. I don't work for them or anything I just love this stuff.

I'm presuming you know something about microbiology I don't, because this makes NO sense whatsoever.

Antiseptics do not promote bacterial mutation. I understand how antibiotics promote the proliferation of mutated viruses (in a large hospital setting), but I DON'T see how that applies here.

I only know what I have read. Im not an expert. Im talkin bacteria here, not viruses (since antibiotics target bacteria not viruses). From what I understand when a chemical is used to disinfect (such as Triclosan in Antibacterial soaps, which some think doesn't even work very well), it leaves a residue behind. This residue temporarily prevents the replenishing of natural bacteria to control any remaining bacteria or other potential hazards such as fungi that are resistant to the agent. So now the bacteria (as well as the fungi) that are resistant have a chance to grow unfettered. Theoretically (this has yet to be proven or disproved in Long Term studies concerning Triclosan) this may lead to the proliferation of super bugs.
This does not apply to traditional antiseptics because things like alcohol, essential oils, and Hydrogen Peroxide do not leave a residue and thus allow the body to quickly replenish the natural bacteria on the skin to control others.

I don't want to risk developing more super bugs so that future generations don't need to worry so much about things like MRSA.

good point,... these products are not for everyday washing... they are useful for things like mats and stuff.. if you shower on a regular basis or if you think there might be a chance you are exposed certianly use these.. or if someone in your school does get something.. but you use this stuff every day it could lead to future problems...

agreed, I have these little "travel" hand sanitizers that I use, (basically just alcohol) anyhow I use it after class on my hands and feet, and then wash my face right away...4 or 5 months back my club had a string of staph infections (around 8 guys, and 1 guys wife.) anyways I was still training everyday, twice a day most days and ended up fine.

only down side is it makes your skin very dry.
